Comet Halley (Halley's Comet):: The best-known of the short-period comets, and is visible from Earth every 75 to 76 years. Halley is the only short-period comet that is clearly visible to the naked eye from Earth, and thus the only naked-eye comet that might appear twice in a human lifetime. Other naked-eye comets may be brighter and more spectacular, but will appear only once in thousands of years. Halley's returns to the inner solar system have been observed and recorded by astronomers since at least 240 BC, and perhaps as early as 466 BC. Halley's Comet last appeared in the inner Solar System in 1986 and will next appear in mid-2061.

A single black retaining ring and 3 silver lock washers wired together using 28ga silver plated wire to form a very interesting design! The black rings support the silver rings as they get smaller and smaller to form a "Tail" at small round sew on Swarovski crystals (siam),and top center and at the bottom two siam crystal teardrops (7mm) dangle as a bold finishing touch

Ooh, pretty! Since the color scheme is red and white, and it's almost Christmas, the gears remind me of snowflakes!
